Advantech B+B EKI-5525I is the industry's first Ethernet Green, IEEE802.3az - switch that reduces power consumption by up to 60% and the total cost of ownership. The EKI-5525I can be used as a plug-and-play unattended switch right out of the box or install Network Management Software (NMS) that provides them with basic monitoring and management functions. In this way, the gap between unmonitored switches and significantly more expensive managed solutions is bridged. With NMS enabled, the switch can provide IP address assignment, which enables a static IP address or an address via DHCP. EKI-5525I has the ability to use Modbus/TCP to communicate with HMI/SCADA applications and SNMP to communicate with NMS (Networking Management Software) simultaneously. This provides full control access for both monitoring engineers and IT managers.
